Report an Issue If you need to report a pothole, damaged sign, streetlight outage or other problem, please use our Public Service Request Reporting App, Fix It! You’ll be able to track the progress of the reported issue all the way through resolution.
Street SweepingOur Street Division inspects the city throughout the year and sweeps on a need-to basis.

  • During the winter season, sand residue material left from de-icing material is removed as needed. 
  • During the summer, downtown is swept on Fridays or as needed.
  • Fall sweeping begins October 1 and runs through November, weather dependent. 
Please collect leaves and don’t sweep them into the street as this makes sweeping operations significantly more difficult. Plan instead to bag your leaves for the semi-annual Yard Waste Collection Days pick-up.
Snow RemovalAs a foothills community, Golden typically requires snow and ice control on all city streets during a storm.

Streets are plowed on a priority basis; primary, secondary, then residential. There are over 241 lane miles of streets within Golden that are maintained.
