Block Parties are localized, self-organized events that benefit the entire city by creating welcoming, close-knit communities.

Applying for a Block Party Permit only requires a few simple steps, but applications MUST be submitted at least 21 days before the planned event, so plan ahead!

The City of Golden requires that all licensed contractors be identified on building permits before the permit can be issued or inspections occur.

Operating a drone (also called UAS for “unmanned aircraft system”) within the City of Golden requires a permit. The permit must be obtained at least 72 hours before you plan to use the drone, but the City Manager may waive the minimum filing period.

To qualify for a Drone / UAS Permit, you must have: 1) FAA License; 2) Insurance; 3) Signed Waiver (submitted with permit application).

ROW Permits are issued to allow construction work in the public right-of-way (ROW). These permits are also required for dumpsters, storage pods, storage of landscape equipment parking, and sidewalk lane closures. ROW Permit Applications must be submitted three (3) working days prior to work, unless otherwise approved (e.g. emergency sewer or water repairs).
